Late August Bay Trip - Tough conditions

I had another return client of George Lambros of Kuwait and his three sons - Elias, Costas, and Andreas out on a 4hr bay fluke charter.  The inlet was a little snotty and unsafe to attempt the usual bluefish bite - so we started fluking right away.  We had to deal with steady 10-15mph E/NE winds which made some of the drifts a little tricky - especially when it turned wind against tide.  Andreas had the hot hand catching 14 fluke himself, and putting a nice 18” in the box.  A few of his 14 were just shy of the 18” mark and had to be released.  The family had a great time and did a fantastic job catching over 35 fluke in the less then optimal conditions.  The fluke are definitely making their way out with still lots of shorts - it’s either, there aren't a lot of keepers around or they are being out-competed by the short fluke as they make their way out.  Nice job by the Lambros family.
