I had Derek Bowen and his wife Christina, and two daughters Megan and Danielle, of Short Hills, NJ on a 4hr bay trip. The forecast was supposed to call for NE winds, but it was dead west in the morning which made for some wind against tide scenarios. The family foursome worked hard and managed to catch close to 30 fluke including some sea bass and 1 lone sea robin. Megan and Danielle did a fantastic job, even combining to out-fish Mom and Dad. The upcoming third grader, Danielle, had the hot hand catching 15 fluke and also catching the only keeper, a solid 18.25inch fluke that had some weight to him. Since the conditions were not conducive to our usual style - all fish were caught on live bait and fresh bait on our custom-tied rigs.
