I had the Ryan Miller charter back out on their annual father-son trip - Ryan of Jersey City, dad George of Pompton Lakes, and brother Sean on Manhattan, NY. Last year George caught a fluke close to 9lbs around the inlet - his 1st ever!! This year the trio was back at it, and played with 2-4lb blues for the 1st hour boating close to 50 and keeping a bunch for the grill. Next, we hit some of the bay fluking areas and caught close to 50 fluke with 2 keepers (18", 18"). The keepers fell for our custom-tied rigs tipped with local bait. There are a lot of fluke in the bay as they begin their migration to deeper waters, unfortunately the short to keeper ratios are very high - but it makes for steady and sometimes chaotic action. Great job by all!!
