Tough fishing yesterday - In the morning, I had new client Brian Stefancik with his two boys Adam and Andy of Sparta, NJ on a 4hr Bay/Inlet trip. We worked a bunch of areas in the back, but the crew could only manage close to 20 shorts. Brian did have a nice keeper on, but the leader broke as fish dove during the net attempt. It was the group's 1st ever time Fluke fishing, and they didn't do too bad learning to bucktail.
The afternoon trip had return client Matt Bailey, his son Jay, and friend Damian Szlachta on a 4hr Bay/Inlet trip. We worked about 9 different areas to put release close to 25 shorts, while keeping 2 fish (21 inch, 18 inch). Again, it was a relatively slow bite as we did a lot of moving to find biting fish. It was still a great day on the water!
