Double trip Friday - pick of action 3 and 2 keepers. Moon phase impact!!!

Today I had return client Matt Bailey, son Jay, daughter Maddie, and friend Zoe on a 4hr bay charter. We worked alot of different areas in the morning to catch close to 30 fish with 3 keepers (18, 19.5, 21 inch). Zoe caught her 1st ever Fluke - just shy of 18inches.

The afternoon had return client John Imbrogno, his father Sestino, his 4yr old son Jack and 10yr old Nick along with friend Will Hood on a 4hr charter. We had horrible tide conditions and warm water, but the crew was able to release close to 20 fish keeping two for the table (21, 19 inch). They did have a couple 17.5 inches in the mix. 4yr old did a great job, but eventually crashed 3hrs into the trip!

Double trip Thursday!! Tough moon phase, but keepers boxed!!

Busy two days with doubles on both - yesterday I had new client David Brewster, his son Jeff, 7yr old grandson Jose and daughter Kaethe with husband Andrew Hansen on a 4hr bay charter. We worked the backwaters for Fluke and boated close to 30 fish with 2 nice keepers.

The afternoon had Mike Futterman, his boys 6yr old Jake and 8yr old Andrew, and father Joel on a 4hr bay charter. We had some tough tide, but the crew managed to box 2 solid keepers during the last hour of the trip.

Double trips again

Double trips today - In the morning, I had return clients Matt Bailey, his son Jay, daughter Maddie, and friend Damien Damian Szlachta on a Ocean Sea Bass trip. We worked a few mid-range snags and the crew put a ton of Ling and some nice keeper Sea Bass in the box. We moved around to a few more and the crew limited out with Damien's solid 23 inch Sea Bass (4.5-5 pounder) being the 10th one. The crew finished playing catch and release with Sea Bass and Ling. #MinnKotaNation

In the afternoon, I had new clients Steve Trapp, his daughter Angela, and friend Joe Kacez on a 4hr bay charter. We had really tough conditions with winds to 25 knots out of the south, but the trio pushed through the conditions and ended the day with 8 keeper Fluke to 5 pounds. This was Angela's 1st time fluking and she landed 3 keepers with a solid 23 incher. Nice job! #MinnKotaNation Sorry for the blackout - but psssh!

Double trips - July 9th

Solid morning, but tough afternoon! In the morning, I had new clients Erin Flaherty, Joshua Mathis, and Buddy Giannetto on a 4hr bay charter. We worked a bunch of areas and the trio boxed 6 keepers to 5 pounds with Erin catching the 23incher. They did a great job bucktailing up quite a few fish on the S&S Bigeye bucktail.

In the afternoon with better tides, I had return client Brian Bidwell, his father Alfred, and Charles Haberkekao on a 4hr charter. We worked some of the same areas, but this time could only find 1 keeper to 19.5 inches amongst a ton of shorts. We had a lot of fish just 0.5 to 1 inch shy, but the guys still had a great time as the rods stayed bent.

6 keepers in 20 knot winds

Conditions were tough with steady 20knot winds, but we fished through it staying with the current. #MinnKotaNation
I had new clients Joe Tocyloski of Manahawkin and his son Steve along with John Schittig and his son Sean on a 4hr bay charter. We started working some areas around the inlet and found a decent pile of fish in the shallows. The crew released close to 25 fish while keeping 6 nice keepers (18, 18.5, 19, 20, 21, 23). All fish were caught on the S&S Bigeye bucktail tipped with bait.

Quick family/friend trip - 2hours - 3 keepers

With the possibility of storms - I cancelled the afternoon charter. But they stayed inland, so did a quick late afternoon trip with the admiral/fluke master Jennifer Taylor, Luke, and Luke's neighborhood buddy Matt Arbasetti. It was Matt's 1st real time Fluke fishing as the unofficial first had 35 knot winds. We worked some areas and Matt did an amazing job catching a few fish with one only an 1/2 inch shy. We ended with 3 keepers to 20 inches with Luke catching the biggest (fyi-Jen is holding Luke's fish). Not bad for 2 hours. Wind against tide was no match for the Minn Kota trolling motor.  #MinnKotaNation #TeamSSbucktails

7 keepers in Barnegat Bay - good fishing today!!

In the morning, I had new clients Bob Reim, Will Knapp, and Mark Ruth of PA on a 4hr Bay charter. We fished a new area and Anne lost a decent one that we saw in the shallows. Great day on the water and looking forward to seeing the family in a couple weeks.

2 Trips - Wind against tide - 70 fish with 8 keepers to 5 pounds

Double header - In the morning I had return client Art Diebel with his two boys Walter and Bruce on a 4hr bay charter. We worked the tide and the crew landed close to 40 fish keeping 5 (18, 18, 19, 21, 22) for the table. Bruce had the biggest at a solid 22.5 inches which was caught on the S&S Bigeye bucktail.

In the afternoon, I had new clients Dan Proskin of MA with his two daughters Grace and Izzy on a 4hr bay charter. This was the 1st time Grace or Izzy ever fluked. We did not have favorable tides, but the trio managed to release close to 25 fluke keeping 3 for the table (19, 21, 22). We fished some new areas as I wanted to get away from the crowds. #MinnKotaNation #TeamSSBucktails

2 Trips + Lots of Wind + MinnKota Trolling motor = Lots of Fluke

86 fish caught today - tons of action

Double trips in tough wind conditions, but no match for the Minn Kota trolling motor. I started the morning with return clients Ellington Smith of DE and his grandson Jordan on a 4hr bay charter. The pair landed over 50 Fluke keeping 3 for the table (18.5, 19.5, 22).

Over 60 Fluke for 1st time fisherman

I had Matt Bronner, his wife Lisa, and their 6yr old son Benji on a 4hr bay charter. This was Lisa and Benji's 1st time Fluke fishing and learned how to bucktail for backwater Fluke. The trio caught over 60 Fluke with one for the box. They lost two other keepers, one of which was every bit of 8 pounds as Lisa caught barely move it. 6-yr old Benji did an amazing job catching over 20 on his own!

Good Fluke fishing today - 6 keepers to 6 pounds

Much better Fluking today. I had Ed Jalowski And his son Oliver from Colorado on a five hour bay charter. We worked some edges and had wind against tide conditions which were no match for the Minn Kota trolling motor. The father and son team caught close to 50 Fluke keeping 6 for the table. Oliver caught the biggest which was close to 25 inches and weigh 6 pounds. All fish were caught on the S&as bucktail tipped with natural baits. #MinnKotaNation #TeamSSbucktails #BerkleyGulp

Better Fluking on the hottest day on the season!!!

Much better fishing today and the temperature was hot too!! I had Tom Wiechelt, his wife Katie, and childhood friend Tyler Davis on a 4hr Bay charter. We worked a bunch of areas today, finding fish at almost every stop. The trio boated 4 keepers to 20 inches, and released close to 45 Fluke. All fish caught on the S&S Bigeye Bucktail jig tipped with natural baits. Katie did an excellent job catching 2 nice keepers (1st ever keepers)!!

Double trips - lots of fluke, but tough on keeps.

Yesterday's double header - lots of action on shorts. Tough day on keepers. In the morning, I had return clients Bud S, Mark S, and Joe S on a 4hr charter in the morning. We worked a bunch of areas in search of keepers, but the crew only could boat 1 at 18 inches. They had close to 40 Fluke with 4 being 1/4 of an inch away. (No pics taken)

In the afternoon, I had new clients Yvonne Decker, Chris Decker, Liz Burg and her husband Steve on a 4hr charter in the afternoon. We had tough conditions with the tide, but the foursome landed over 40 Fluke with 1 nice keeper at 22 inches on the S&S Bucktail. Again, several fish were close to 18 inches.

Afternoon Trip - Mark Harmonosky

The afternoon had a little more difficult tide, but the 1st time fluke fisherman did a decent job. I had retired Air Force veteran Mark Harmonosky, his wife Christine, 13yr old Caroline, and 8yr old Spencer on a 4hr Bay Fluke trip. We worked multiple areas to find release over 25 Fluke with two solid keepers at 19 and 21 inches. The high hook of the day was 8yr old Nate with the solid 21 inches caught on a S&S bucktail (he didn't want to hold it). Not bad for never Fluke fishing before!!
