Day 2 Fluking - 6 fish LIMIT to 22 inches with a few keepers released!

I had return client Bruce C of Illinois was out on a 4hr bay charter and we worked a few new areas to box our 6-fish LIMIT of fluke to 22 inches. We released close to 35 fish along with a few 18-19 inchers. All fish were caught on our custom jigs and new scent combos.

Opening day fluke - 1 shy of limit; 5 keepers to 22.5 inch

I had return client Lou S and Murph on a 4hr bay charter targeting fluke for the season opener. The guys opted to fish early and they did a great job boxing 5 keepers to 22.5 inches, just one shy of their limit. We released close to 40 fluke in under 4 hours. It felt great to be fluking again!!!

Short tog and few keeps to 17 inches.

We had return clients with some new tog anglers, but they worked extremely hard. Spent the last two days in the ocean working a ton of different pieces on our charters, but we could only muster 67 short tautog and 2 keeps to 17 inches. Many tog were less than a 1/4 inch to keeping, but legally had to go back. We also released a ton of sea bass and even a few cod just shy of the 23in mark in the mix.

Got a few pics on the unfortunate fire and we even got a few crabs to 6.5 inches to start the season with the family!

Back at it this week and then will be plying the backwaters for the fluke opener in our flats boat. ~ Family, Faith, and Fishing ~

Return clients Joe H, Mike H and Rob J on a bay charter. We started trying for striped bass, but could only muster 2 misses at a variety of spots. Switched over to tog for the last 2 hours and the guys worked hard releasing over 25 shorts, while boxing 6 keepers. Bass bite has been dismal to say the least. ~Family, Faith, and Fishing~

I had afterschool trip with return client Bob Dodds charter and we started with great tidal conditions for striped bass. Water temperatures were a tad cold and slightly dirty, had a few bites on the circle and managed a small schoolie. Last hour, we switched over to tautog on the inside and picked through a few - ended with a few keeps - nothing spectacular, but at least had some action on the skiff. Close to 20 seals yesterday in total - got a pic of 9 of them together! ~Family, Faith, and Fishing~

Slower action - but some striped bass and tog bites around!

We were out for a scout trip, followed by our charter of the season, weather has been "ugh" at best. We managed a few striped bass from 20 to 29 inches on plugs for the scout, while the charter drifted some live bait missing a few fish on the circle. Tog bite was very tough in the bay with some weed and churned up water - managed one keep amongst the shallow water bites. Regardless, still felt great to be back on the water and nice to see some other marine life! ~Family, Faith, and Fishing~

2025 Fishing Season is upon us....

I'm booked for the Edison and Atlantic City boat shows and will be doing seminars on trolling motor tactics due to its high demand.

On the charter front, we have had a very busy offseason as we did a major overhaul and servicing on most of our fishing equipment and tackle. We have incorporated some new tackle management systems to be even more efficient for our clients. Our sea bass, tautog, and ocean fluke trips will also be outfitted with our custom made rods featuring nano-carbon blanks and titanium guides. I used them this past season, and they performed amazingly on tautog up to 10 pounds.

We will be running starting March 1st for back striped bass on the skiff, followed by April tog on the larger, sportcab vessel. See you on the water!!
