Ran the second trip in the afternoon for Nick Cardone and family. We fished hard for 4hrs and had over 40 shorts with 3 solid keepers and lone blowfish. Great afternoon and conditions for the crew.

Yesterday's morning bay charter had return client Chris V and family starting off with a slower bite. We picked and finally found a few feeding fish. Ended the morning with 5 keepers to 22 inches and released over 50 shorts.

Today's action was much better as I had return client Dave D, his son Bryce and Greg on a 4hr charter. We had fish right away and pretty much the entire trip. Ended with 7 keepers from 20 to 23 inches and released over 55 shorts.

Started off great - everyone was on-time, but a very tough morning for us!

I had return client Ralph R, Absolut EE, and the Tallboy Tanglers on a 4hr bay charter. We had a so-so bite the first hour boxing 1k and quite a few shorts. B. Dalton missed a few nice fish which came un-buttoned a few feet from the boat, and by the 4th one he was frustrated to say the least. We only ended with one, but had a ton of laughs as usual. Until next time boys... 1k, 20 tangles, and 6 Cut and Reties!!!

12k for our charters today - loving my summer office!!

Friday Double charters - I had return client Bob Reim and crew on a 4hr bay charter. Although wanted to hit the ocean, we opted for the bay with the forecast. The guys worked extremely hard to box 4 keepers to 20 inches and release close to 25 shorts.

Next, I had return client Matt Windover, his son & daughter and Charles on a 4hr bay charter. We worked a variety of different spots to produce 8 keeper fluke to 23 inches. The kids did a bang up job with the Hammer rods boxing 3 keeps.

I ran double bay charters today - funny how the winds kept most at the docks. Yes, drifting was tough and had to work your tail off, but put the work in and fish were biting- charters ended with 11k to 26 inches.

First, I had return client Kevin Murphy and buddies on a 4hr charter and the guys had to compete with lesser tides and heavy winds. Released close to 20 with 3 keepers to 22 inches.

Next, I had return client Brian B of upstate NY on a 4hr charter and we had wind against tide conditions. The guys battled to release 40 shorts and boxed 8 keepers to 26 inches with the smallest being 20 inches.

Double charter - I had return client Alex G and his son Jack on a 4hr bay charter. The father & son duo had some tough conditions and released close to 50 fish, but could only box 1 lone keeper. We had several that were a 1/4 inch shy of keeping, tough morning.

The second trip fared better with return client Mike F, Andrew, Jakob, and their grandfather a 4hr bay charter. The fish turned on, especially the keepers - the crew released over 60 fish keeping 6 keepers to 23 inches for the table.

Double charter today - First, I had new client Nelson B and his buddy on a 4hr bay charter. We worked a bunch of spots and the guys released close to 24 fluke while keeping 4 keeps to 21 inches.

Next, I had return client Andrew Gordon and family on their annual vacation charter running out of Bobbie's Boats Bait and Tackle. The group did an amazing job on the 3hr bay charter - releasing over 60 fluke while boxing 6 keepers to 22 inches.

Back at it after a 2-week break - Yesterday I had return client John Bidwell, his son, and grand-daughters on a 4hr bay trip. John couldn't attend, but the trio did a great job at catching close to 50 fluke and keeping 2 nice ones for the table.

This morning I had return client Ralph Rodio, Steve, Billy, and Nick on a Ocean Fluke charter. One of the guys was late to the dock which shortened our trip by an hour. We worked a few different areas and had a heck of a time trying to fish through keeper sea bass. The guys ended with 2 keeper fluke, limit of sea bass and a couple ling. Not great, but good enough to knock some of the rust off.

I ran a 3hr charter yesterday for new client & first time fluke fisherman Sheila M and her son Ray. I had enough time between my 1/2 day at school and evening graduation duties to make it possible.

We had a falling tide with water between 79/80F and worked a ton of spots. Thankfully I finally found an active area only about 25 yards long. The crew released close to 20 shorts and boxed 4 keepers to 23.5 inches, with young Ray catching his limit.

Back at it again - I had return client Alex Gal and his son Jack on a 4hr charter. The father & son team had less than ideal conditions with slack low and a 18 degree temperature difference. They worked through close to 30 shorts and boxed 4 keepers to 23.5 inches. Nice seeing kids that have been with you since a young age grow up as Jack will be entering high school next year.

Better bite today - I had return client Ralph Rodio and crew on a 4hr bay charter. We worked a good number of areas picking through 25+ shorts to box 6 keepers to 23 inches. Ralph had a beauty on that broke off at the net on the last drift, so we will be after that one again. Great time as usual, lots of laughs!

Friday's report - We fished extremely hard yesterday running 3 charters, but between the winds and slime - it was tough. Definitely our toughest day this season, unfortunately sometimes the fish have to win.

1st - I had new clients Jeff G and family on a 4hr charter - the guys did their best as we moved from spot to spot picking at fish. They released about 20 shorts, but could only muster one lone keeper. We had winds over 25 and lots of dirty water.

2nd - I had return clients Dave D and Renn on a 4hr charter and they worked hard on a falling tide. We had several fish that were very close to keeping, but could not pass the 18-in mark. The guys released close to 18 shorts.

3rd - I had return client Robert Boyle and crew on a 4hr charter. We finally found some cleaner water and the guys picked through 25 shorts to box 2 keepers (20, 22). They also had 4 more that were 1/16 in shy.

Tough day - brutal winds and slime, but a couple of nice fish. to 24in.

I had return client Sean S, his daughter Shannon and boyfriend Chris on a 4hr charter. We had very strong south winds, but the trio worked very hard to release 40 short fluke and boxed 3 keepers to 24 inches. Overall, very tough on the keeper bite - but back at it!

I had return client George "Cookieman", Mike P, Mark, and Franco on a 4hr charter. We had stiff NE winds, but the fish were very active during the majority of the trip. We worked a few different areas and the guys boxed 7 keepers to 25 inches, while releasing over 45. Excellent time as always!

A tad late on the report - I had return client Marty Burns and crew on a 4hr charter. It was a mix of good action and slower bites, but the guys persevered to box 4 keeper fluke to 22 inches while releasing close to 40 fluke. Great trip with the group as always!!

Tough tide, but we grinded through to box 5 keepers to 20 inches with return client Bill Figley, his grand kids (Hunter / Mila) and daughter Theresa. The kids did a great job landing a solid 20 inch fluke on the hammer rods and we released about 23 fluke in total. But Bill was the high hook with his limit of fluke! Great time on the water!!

Better conditions - I had return client Bob Dodds and his friend Milton on a 4hr bay charter. The guy's worked hard to release close to 30+ fish after a few moves and we boxed 4 keepers to 22inches. Bob used the Hammer series rod and had 11 on his own and a real nice one that we lost boat side. Still a beautiful day on the bay!!

Slower fluking due to winds, slime, and cold water..

Back to back windy charters - Friday - I had return client Luke W and his 4th grade son Dylan on a 4hr trip. The father-son team had through fight 19 degree temp. swings, slime, and 20+ kt winds, but we still managed a few keepers. Although we missed a few nice ones at the surface, they released over 20 shorts and boxed a 19 and 20 inch for dinner. Highlight for Dylan was landed a 40 in smooth doggie in the back!

Sunday - more of the same - winds to 20 knts, slime and 58F water. I had return client Ralph R, Stefano, and Eric (Smokes Dalton was a no-show). The boys worked hard to release close to 30 fluke, but we could only muster 2 keepers. Definitely put the effort in. The 42in Hammer rod had 14 fluke and 1 keeper - definitely works well providing slightly better action on the light jigs!

I had return client Tim Murphy, Tim Jr. and friend Tony on a 4hr bay charter. We started in the same area as last trip and boxed 6 keeper fluke, made a move and added 3 more for their 9-fish LIMIT with the biggest at 24 inches. The guys released 45 fish. Great job by the crew!!
